It's hard to believe, but after 5 months of medical, dental, and legal clearances, I am finally here.
However, the worst part is that I've been here for several weeks and have yet to share what I promised I would before I left.
My apologies for being so slow to post, but they certainly have us busy learning the ropes on how to stay safe, transport around Windhoek, discuss cultural norms, and more. By the time I headed to my host family for the first few weeks, I was simply too tired to set up a computer.
And now I am at work trying to learn the language, meeting tons of people, touring the city, buying groceries, and hanging up curtains!
I also have to confess that I've been frozen at the keyboard for fear of making a mistake. Yup, it's that ugly critical voice in my head that can be torment a writer to that lonely abyss called writer's block or screen fright!
But here I am, and I'll give it my best.
I promise to DIG DEEP and find it within me and my schedule to take the time to share my experiences for whoever (or is it whomever?!) is interested in what the PC and/or my day-to-day in Namibia will be like for the year.

So, here's to a NEW DAY...I promise to do my best to not let my insecurities or work schedule get in the way of posting every week or two or three or four ;-0!
