Hello World!
From high school through college, to marriage, and now as a widow, my life has been marked by many wonderful ups but also many dark and disappointing downs.

What began as a mindset for running has become my way of life: to dig deep and discover the courage and fortitude to keep moving forward despite life’s challenges.

This blog, or as I prefer to call it, my reflections, is part of that journey of digging deep and finding the strength to carry on. Dig Deep Runner is about overcoming the fear of failure, mustering the courage to take the next step forward, and embracing the momentum to explore new opportunities that lie ahead.

These reflections simply tell my story of moving forward, from running marathons to now serving as a Peace Corps Response Volunteer in Namibia.

And while exercise and fitness were the original impetus for buying the domain and training to run 26.2 miles, it’s now a critical element for how I stive to venture through life.

I hope you enjoy reading about my experiences in Namibia, here and now, and perhaps in the future wherever my life travels may take me.
Digging Deep for Philip and our 3 AMAZING children, Erik, Kahri, & Rebekah. I love you all FAFANMW!
